Originally posted at 8:56AM, 14 June 2011 PST I have returned to using image capture because when it does work, the pictures are larger and better coloured.Įven yesterday, my method of scanning worked, until this randomly started happening, so I don't think it's because of which tray/placeholder (with the letters A, B, or C) I'm using to hold the film.Īny ideas? Anyone else have this problem? ![]() I have tried installing the "epson scan" software from the internet to see if there was a problem with the software, but this had the same problem with negative scanning. But the same problem arises when I try to scan negatives. When I turn the scanner off and then on, the light returns to green. However, now it will do an overview scan fine in flatbed mode (using image capture software), but when I change it to the mode for color negative film and hit scan, the light starts flashing orange and the program says "Scanner reported an error. ![]() I got it in order to scan in my film with sprocket holes, and have used it successfully up until this point. Hey all, my epson perfection v500 scanner has been working perfectly up until yesterday. ![]()
